So much wine … too little time

New Zealand

Speak to any visitor to New Zealand and you wonder why they’ve come home.  The magic, beauty, variety, scenery, friendliness, food and, of course, the wine. For wine it’s hard to beat.

If New Zealand is associated with one wine variety above all others it has to be Sauvignon Blanc. And for this, on South Island, Marlborough and Cloudy Bay reigns supreme. This most southerly wine region in the world also produces the most voluptuous, world class Pinot Noirs and Central Otago has leapt to the forefront for the production of some stunning wines.

On North Island, Hawkes Bay is best known for its reds. Pinot Noir comes to its own in the Martinborough region, followed by Pinot Gris and Riesling.
