So much wine … too little time

Italy

The whole of Italy could be described as a vineyard. The choice and range the country has to offer is just bewildering.

Piedmont and Tuscany offer some great classic reds. Barolo and Barbaresco are some magnificent wines from Piedmont and our Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Borgate 2006 is a fantastic country wine offering great value for money.

For a more unusual white, we visit the furthest north on the border where we’ve found a stunning Castelfeder Gewurtzraminer.

Further south we’ve picked a Vanetto Pinot Grigio from Altoadige. Light and delicate giving you a slight tingle on the tongue. You can’t beat it for its freshness and price.
