Descending into our cellar can be a dangerous exercise as it can pose a serious threat to your wallet.
We are lucky in our Bury St Edmunds shop to be blessed with a perfect cellar. Nice and dry and a constant cool temperature throughout the year. Perfect conditions for storing wine. Perhaps this has allowed us to get a little carried away.
Here you will find lots of goodies either for immediate drinking or ageing. And, whilst there is a strong emphasis on traditional wines like Bordeaux, Burgundy and Vintage Port, you’ll also find some treasures from the Rhone, Germany and Spain as well as great wines from top new world estates.
We’re always on the look out for interesting parcels and carry many single bottles from different vintages.
If you’re after a special present, a wine for a special occasion or to celebrate a specific year, this is a great place to explore.
However, we did spot a bottle in the cellar the other day that was only £15.99 so perhaps that Lafite 1961 for £799 may not be so threatening after all!
